Blogs!

I have spent the past couple of weeks reading and grading blogs for the RN to BSN course that I am helping teach for my practicum. What an overwhelming, wearisome, and time consuming task! I am reading, responding to, and grading these blogs. This unit will be over at the end of this week and when it is all said and done, I will count how many hours I devoted to this task. Reading the blogs is interesting and I hope the students appreciate my feedback. I will keep at this for a few more days (until it is time to do it all over again for the next unit). :)

Hi Shara,
Yes, it will be interesting to see how many hours you've accumulated with your blogging adventure. I wonder if the time committment is about the same or different for the discussion boards versus blogs. Just wondering.

I hope it is an interesting topic that they are writing on. I'm sure that your mind can easily become numb and you begin to wonder, "Have I read this somewhere before"? Like when you are reading a really good book and you know that they made a typo about someone's relation and you have to find it just to prove to yourself that you aren't crazy...ummm, kinda like me now. Sorry! :-/ Good luck with the rest of those blogs!

I understand. I'm grading student's reflective journals (on paper, not on the computer), and it is taking me forever! I worked on them Thursday evening for an hour and a half and only finished two. I definitely have my work cut out for me! Good luck to you!

Welcome to my world! As interesting and useful as blogs are, they do get a bit wearisome after a while.
